1. Overview
Printmint provides custom 3D printing, prototyping, and optional design services. By accessing this website, submitting files, requesting services, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
2. Nature of 3D Printing
All items produced by Printmint are custom-manufactured. Due to the additive manufacturing process, minor variations in layer lines, surface finish, color, strength, and dimensions are normal and do not constitute defects.
3. File Uploads & Design Responsibility
Customer-Provided Files
Customers may upload files they own or have permission to use.
Printmint is not responsible for design flaws, tolerance issues, fitment problems, or functional failures resulting from customer-provided files.
By submitting a file, you confirm you have the legal right to reproduce the design.
Printmint Design Services
Design services are available for an additional fee.
Designs are created based on customer-provided requirements; however, final performance, fit, and suitability are not guaranteed unless explicitly agreed in writing.
Customer approval of a design constitutes acceptance of the final product.
4. Materials & Engineering Filaments
Standard materials are offered by default.
Engineering-grade filaments (including ABS, Nylon, carbon fiber blends, and similar materials) are available upon request and may require additional cost, approval, or lead time.
Material recommendations may be provided; however, final material selection responsibility rests with the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5. Functional Parts Disclaimer
Printmint does not guarantee that printed parts are suitable for:
Load-bearing or structural applications
Safety-critical uses
Medical, automotive, aerospace, or life-support purposes
Functional parts are produced at the customer’s request and risk.
6. Pricing, Payments & Sales Tax
Pricing is based on material usage, print time, complexity, and post-processing.
Design work, revisions, and engineering materials may incur additional charges.
Payment or a deposit may be required before production begins.
Printmint does not currently charge Goods and Services Tax (GST). If and when Printmint becomes required to collect GST or other applicable taxes under Canadian law, such taxes will be added to invoices at the applicable rate. Customers are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or fees imposed by their jurisdiction.
7. Production & Lead Times
Production timelines are estimates only. Printmint is not responsible for delays caused by print failures, equipment maintenance, material availability, design revisions, carrier delays, or events beyond reasonable control.
8. Order Approval
Customers are responsible for approving:
Files and designs
Dimensions and specifications
Materials and quantities
Once production has begun, changes or cancellations may not be possible.
9. Intellectual Property
Customers retain ownership of their designs.
Printmint will not reuse, resell, or distribute customer designs without permission.
Printmint reserves the right to refuse printing any design that violates intellectual property laws or is deemed inappropriate.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Printmint, its owner, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
Files, designs, or specifications you provide
Allegations of intellectual property infringement
Use, misuse, resale, or modification of printed parts
Functional failure or unintended use of printed items
Your breach of these Terms of Service
This obligation survives completion of the order and delivery of the printed items.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Printmint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or use. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the order giving rise to the claim.
12. Force Majeure
Printmint shall not be liable for failure or delay in performance resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, fire, flood, power outages, equipment failure, material shortages, supply chain disruptions, labor disputes, pandemics, government actions, internet outages, or carrier delays.
In such events, production timelines may be extended or orders suspended until normal operations resume.
13. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Alberta, Canada.
